I am an experienced educator with a diverse background in both music and academic subjects. My journey in education began with a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education with a focus on orchestral music, which I completed in 2006 at BYU-Idaho, Rexburg, ID, where I graduated with an impressive 3.9 GPA. During my time at BYU-Idaho, I was honored to receive both academic and music scholarships, highlighting my dedication to both learning and the arts. Additionally, I served as the President of the Relief Society Sorority, demonstrating my leadership skills and commitment to community involvement.
My passion for education led me to work as a substitute teacher in K-12 settings from January 2009 to March 2012 at College Station ISD in Texas. In this role, I collaborated with teaching staff to create and implement coordinated educational strategies and support networks for students. I had the opportunity to substitute in a variety of subjects and grade levels, contributing to the academic development of students in both College Station ISD and Bryan ISD.
My commitment to music education continued with a position as an Orchestra Teacher from August 2007 to June 2008 at Bonneville ISD in Idaho Falls, ID. I maintained classroom routines that fostered a conducive learning environment and ensured consistent schedules for students.Furthermore, I am an accomplished Private Violin Teacher with a teaching career spanning from January 1994 to January 2014 in Idaho Falls, ID, and College Station, Texas.
I had the privilege of imparting my knowledge and love for music through private violin lessons, working with students ranging from age 3 to adults. At times, I managed up to 15 students simultaneously, guiding their musical growth over several consecutive years.With a rich and diverse educational background and a commitment to nurturing both academic and artistic talents, I am eager to share my knowledge and experience as a tutor. I am dedicated to fostering a love for learning and helping students achieve their educational goals.
