With a profound commitment to the transformative power of music, I am Claire — a dedicated music educator and versatile composer. My mission revolves around unlocking the inherent musicality within each student and contributing to the rich cultural tapestry through my compositions.
As a music educator, I bring a wealth of experience, tailoring my approach to meet the unique needs of each student. Whether in the classroom or one-on-one settings, I foster growth in music theory, history, composition, piano performance, and audio design. My flexibility ensures every student has an equal opportunity to thrive and achieve their musical goals.
Holding a B.A. in Humanities - Music with Honors, I graduated with a 3.9 GPA from Indiana University East, specializing in music theory and composition. Under the guidance of esteemed mentors like Dr. Chad Powers and Dr. Jason Jedlicka, I honed my skills and received recognition for outstanding contributions.
Proficient in flute, vocal, and piano performance, my expertise extends to music composing, editing, and producing. I'm well-versed in field recording, sound effects editing, and various digital audio workstations such as Cubase and Audacity.
My teaching journey includes working with school districts, creating plans for lessons and performances, and conducting private lessons for students of all ages. During my tenure at Miss Shannon's Music Studio, I provided private composition lessons, managed administrative tasks, and collaborated to introduce new classes for students.
In the realm of composition, my work spans various genres, from acoustic and electronic pieces to foley soundscapes. Notable compositions include "Faces of Facet" and "The Forest," commissioned by institutions like Indiana University Kokomo and Table24 Gaming Studios.
