Tutor Bio
I am a classically trained guitarist, proud alumnus of Trinity College Dublin, where I earned my Bachelor's and recently completed my Master's, specializing in classical guitar. My musical journey began in the United States under the guidance of Michael Sheridan at the age of 15, and I've had the privilege of performing regularly with the New Jersey Classical Guitar Society.
My pursuit of excellence led me to study under Florindo Baldissera in Venice, Italy, and more recently, with the renowned Redmond O’Toole in Dublin. I've enriched my skills further through engaging masterclasses with influential figures like David Russell and Jason Vieaux.
My repertoire is deeply rooted in the evocative sounds of Spain and Latin America, and this passion culminated in winning the 1st prize at the 2023 Feis Ceoil, Ireland’s premier classical music competition. I've had the honor of gracing the stage as a soloist at esteemed venues such as Barco Teatro in Padova, Italy, and the Royal Irish Academy of Music in Dublin.
In addition to my solo endeavors, I've contributed to ensemble performances at the Royal Irish Academy of Music. Notable festivals include the Festival Homenaje 3rd Edition in Padova and the Feis Ceoil in Dublin.
Education-wise, I hold a Master's in Philosophy from Trinity College Dublin, building upon my Bachelor's degree. My principal teachers, including Michael Sheridan, Florindo Baldissera, Redmond O’Toole, and others, have played a pivotal role in shaping my musical identity.
Beyond my formal education, I'm a proud member of the New Jersey Classical Guitar Society since 2021. As a tutor, my goal is to share the richness of classical guitar and inspire a love for its expressive nuances.
